Sherry Kay Holloway, age 64 of Jackson passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Sherry was born October 30, 1959 in Cape Girardeau to Glenn Roman and Dorothy Lee Gerlach Langston.
She attended school at Nell Holcomb and Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau. Sherry worked at Food Giant in Cape Girardeau and worked as the evening manager at Save a Lot Grocery store in Jackson for 27 years. She enjoyed serving as an election judge, being outside, going to yard sales, auctions, craft shows, river walking with her friends at the Cape Girardeau Water Park, and above all, spending time with her family and her pets.
Loving survivors include her son Jason (Jaime) Holloway of Oak Ridge; a grandson Colton Holloway; three siblings, Scotty Langston of Pearland, Texas, Charles (Pat) Langston of Cape Girardeau, and Beverly (Terry) Meyer of Oak Ridge; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant granddaughter, Gracelyn Holloway.
Visitation will be from 4-7 pm, Monday, April 22, 2024, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at 10 am, Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor Cody Fleenor officiating.
Interment will follow in Old Goshen Cemetery near Oak Ridge, Missouri.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Old Goshen Cemetery.
